About my work
I use my art to raise money for Community Action Nepal. Since 2019 I have created new artworks of Nepal for calendars which I sell for Community Action Nepal.
The 2020 calendar sales raised over £1500, and the 2021 calendar raised £2600 and the 2022 calendar raised over £1,600. The 2023, £1,000 and 2024 over £900, over £7,600.
A huge thank you to everyone who has continued to support this venture.

We both lived and worked in Nepal for 2 years in the 1980s doing Voluntary Service Overseas.
Our experiences in Nepal have made us who we are. I was thrilled to return in 2017 and 2019. We are looking forward to another visit whenever that may be possible.
I started the Friday Painting Classes in Saddleworth, at the Museum and Art Gallery, in 2009, and the Penistone class in 2018, for adults, some of whom had very little or no experience of painting. We all learn lots from each other. We use mainly watercolours and acrylics on alternate weeks.
We have continued to paint together using Zoom, which has been very sociable and helped us to continue to develop our painting.
